“To be pregnant is to be vitalIy alive, thoroughly woman, and undoubtedly inhabited”
- Ann Buchanan & Debra Klingspom

I am thrilled to be teaching the prenatal/postnatal class at Allied. It was such a big part of my own life having been through three pregnancies. During my first pregnancy is when I really began a dedicated practice that I’ve continued ever since.
Yoga is so wonderful for your body as it changes throughout pregnancy. I loved staying flexible and keeping my strength up which really helped with the birthing process. It can really help reduce swelling and ease back and leg pain.
The core strength helps after delivery and beyond. The deep relaxation is amazing when you have those bouts of overwhelming sleepiness. One of the best things about a prenatal class is being in a group of women going through the same wondrous thing. I made some special bonds in those classes and hope my students will too.
I felt my prenatal class was my safe zone with all of the other craziness of life especially once you have other little ones. It’s the nicest thing you can do for yourself.
